Planning to hit the East End location up on a earlier (11AMish) Saturday (01/08). Is preordering really necessary? I’d like to avoid lines but would rather order from their full menu in shop as opposed to only cookies and full cakes online.

Hello Wesam! No, a preorder isn't necessary but it is the only way to avoid lines. While I can't predict the future (not for lack of trying) I would guess that things won't be too crazy on the 8th of January with life slowing down a bit after the holidays. UPDATE: Things have been busier in the new year! As you might guess, weekdays are easier than weekends. It is also important to note that only our East End Market location takes preorder. That are not available for Gideon's at Disney Springs.

Its not necessary however their cookies do run out fairly quick sometimes. So I would maybe pre order dessert and order food there.

It's a Saturday, in January in Florida...if you do not get there until 11 there may be no bites left and no salted caramel cookies. Your choices will be limited at that time.
