I came to Jacksonville to visit and got stranded.. Im originally from California and have no family on the East Coast.. Is this a place where they can help with a bed and food? Or maybe even help to get me back to California?

The Salvation Army, at 900 W. Adams St. Jacksonville, rents rooms by the month when available. As far as getting back home I can only recommend staying at one of several homeless shelters downtown and working at a daily work, daily pay facility for your ticket home. Sorry I cant be more helpful.
