Adding one more thought to the comments here... According to TSA even if you don't have your Driver's License with you or in your case, Evangelina - your Driver's License is expired, you are ok with just showing your Passport as well. Just some food for thought. Good luck and safe travels!
If they notice, probably not! State I. D. would work.
You can check details on TSA's website, but if it has been expired less than a year, they can put you through extra checks (search carry ons etc) and allow you to fly. An additional form of photo ID is helpful (student ID, job badge etc).
