Why do you study from the NIV when it is missing 16 scriptures? Read Revelation 22:18 that applies to Revelations, but also to the Whole Word of God.

The NIV is simply the most popular English translation, so we use it because most people have it. But more importantly, because it actually INCLUDES those 16 verses you mention. The NIV does not hide or ommit those 16 verses. If you notice, the NIV puts a footnote on each of those 16 verses and the entire verse is quoted with an explanation that some manuscripts include those 16 verses. And the reason they do this is precisely because they do not want to add or omit from God's word. Since many older manuscripts found do not have these 16 verses, the NIV is in fact obeying Revelation 22:18 by being cautious and letting you know in the footnotes that not all of the manuscripts have these 16 verses. But because no one knows 100% if the originals had these 16 verses, they INCLUDE them in the footnotes. So these 16 verses are not missing. You can read them in the footnotes. But that's a great question, and I hope this clarifies it. so I encourage you to come on Sundays.
