If I am in the area, I like to make a visit to this store. They have a good selection of materials and can help place orders for all the key suppliers. I wish I were more local and could attend classes. They are very willing to help and provide suggestions even later in the day near closing time.

Having just finished a short 4-week course on basic leather work, my husband and I thought it would be fun to continue with what we learned . . . and we found Standing Bear's Trading Post! What an absolute pleasure to be in a store where the subject - leatherworking, tooling, etc., - is so obviously known and enjoyed. We learned a lot in our time here at Standing Bear's, met owners Wayne and Sandy (and cat Josephine) and feel it a privilege to shop at a store that is generous and warm and welcoming to the customer.
