No, County-owned waste management sites do not take chemicals other than used oil and antifreeze. The County's Household Hazardous Waste Facility will accept chemicals (no explosives or radioactives) for free from residents. Residents may transport no more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds per trip. 5 gallon buckets are the maximum size for staff to manage at the facility - you can still bring 15 gallons, just make sure the containers are the appropriate size. Small businesses can use this facility as well, but must pre-qualify and set an appointment. Call (800) 207-8222 to set up a business appointment.
It all depends what type of chemical you want to dispose. You need to let them know what you're taking in.
