It absolutely is ocean front... there is nothing across the street except the ocean. If to you "ocean front" means you have to literally touch the water.. Well, much of the CA coast will disappoint because a great deal of the coast is not built immediately upon. Which is wonderful for many reasons, most significantly - access to all.
Everytime I go, they all have been really cool. Maybe you caught him on an off day? Or maybe you came off as "one of those customers"? Or a little bit of both. And... Oceanfront means "Land that boarders the ocean" which I'd say is a pretty fair description considering that the ocean is right across the street. And I don't remember anything about an AC but we always immediately just open the windows maybe turn on the fan and/or crack the door if it's really warm. Not that big of a deal. I do agree that the breakfast is not as great as it used to be. I'm really looking forward to being there for the feast of lanterns! My birthday! The room is booked and I can't wait! Sorry you're experience wasn't that great.
You don't stay at Lover's Point Inn (or Borgs for that matter) for the room... its Location, Location, Location.... get out of the room and explore this wonderful area...
Yep, it is ocean front just like Aretta said. A/c wasnt needed and trust me I'm always hot! Its bordering the ocean....its not walk from your bed to the ocean beach front but you can see that in the pictures. And it doesn't suck at all! The front guy wasn't crazy excited to see me but he did his job. The girls that checked me out were super nice. The breakfast was simple, easy to make and good. Have you not been to many hotels that offer breakfast? At least this tiny one on the beach does and it's hot if you want it! I've stayed in really nice places that offer a snack bar and a banana for your breakfast! I got a couple bananas, hard boiled eggs and raisin toast and it filled me up just fine!
No A/C, crappy breakfast, not ocean front like they claim.
This place is great. Don't know what you were looking for, but right on the beach is what i was looking and this was it. Plus went in March and it was like 60$. Could not have asked for anything more.
