You can also have a Veterans Representative Organization, (VSO) represent you free of charge, and file any claims. Such as the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), American Legion, etc. It's a rat maze trying to figure it out on your own. A few of the VSO's are in the same building as the VA Regional office at the front entrance to the VA Hospital Campus. Hope this helps any vets dealing with the V.A. It can be a daunting task, but better sooner than later, is best. Sincere Regards, SSG Michael R. Fujiwara U.S. Army Ret. O.I.F. III, " All Gave Some. Some Gave All. Never Forget, Freedom is Not Free"
The regional office can get it set up for you, the building on the right as soon as you enter the campus.
I work with AMVETS. They have helped me so much. They have reps at the building with the flag in front of it on fort street right across from the federal building
