Even the people that work in the area have to pay to park in a private lot. The French quarter is a Disney Land kind area with Bourbon Street being the main Street. It's worth the walk
I didn't really see any close street parking. It's in the French Quarter. I'd assume you park in a lot nearby and walk (we were staying at a nearby hotel).
