What is your experience with lost items found by housekeeping and not reported?

I have not had this problem.

Personally I myself have only lost a cell phone and I'm pretty sure someone snatched it up and recycled it for a few bucks down at the mall.I told security about it,where I had it and when.they wouldn't check the surveillance because of the estimate value of my cell phone.Im pretty certain that housekeeping would not risk loosing their jobs over lost items.
