The balloon goes up 400 feet. Also Bryan is correct that it is free. My family just went last week. It was a very nice experience for everyone. It moves at a slow pace so even my eldest who doesn't like heights enjoyed herself. It can take up to two hours in line...so get there very early. However call first to check with the office in relation to the weather...they will advise you based on the pilot decision of whether it will be operational or not that day or night flight. Enjoy
It goes maybe 100m high. Like a football field. But it doesn't move horizontally. Only vertically. I thought it was odd at first but it's still pretty cool to see Irvine from up high. It's very flat haha and if you go now it's free because of covid. Normally you pay like $10/person I think.
