I've tried to register on the IRS website but I get a message saying: A condition has been identified that is preventing your access to irs online services. You will not be able to use this service. Please click "Continue" to view alternatives." Anyone know what this means? I've double checked and confirmed that my information is correct. Also, I've tried calling the IRS number and extension, but no luck.
You must go online to request it. It will be delivered by mail. They will not issue it in their office.
