They are so under staffed with the uptick of traveling that some of the agents are cracking under the stress and generally yelling at people for no reason when asking a question as if they are suppose to know the answer or process. Do not get talked into doing a global entry interview on the spot. Schedule an appointment and save yourself the time. Almost missed my connecting and had to wait longer when asking for my passport to leave and skip the interview because it was inconvenient for the two agents busy yelling at others.

This office is very busy. The people hear are very proficient and professional. We were walk ins and understood the situation that appointments come first. We were still able to get in, the staff were all over it even though extremely busy., Thank you!

Yes, the global entry office is near the Swiss Air luggage check-in desk outside of security. So you'll need to exit the terminal and then go through TSA security again after your interview.

I'm not sure if you don't have an appointment, but if you can stop by, ask the front door person. There's a waiting room. Remember to park at Flamingo garage of MIA airport, terminal J.
My wife and I went to the office and she had to wait till they could squeeze her in between appointments to update the passport #. We waited maybe 20 mins
