Is the pier on for fishing?

We were lucky enough to catch the pier attendant,(off season ) cost a dollar to get on the pier, money used for upkeep which is being done. Surfers should be 500 feet away from the pier .there are dolphins that are also present near the pier. Numerous signs in case you catch sea turtles and what to do.
