Island Delights

On a recent visit to the beach we wanted a nice, cool treat to get us through the hot day. Looking at reviews, four-stars is about as high as it gets for ice cream joints. Island Delights was closest and similarly rated to others but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a little busy in the small entrance but we were quickly ushered to the ice cream counter and orders were taken. The staff was amazingly nice and the ice cream was great.

Cute beach dîner with fun, vintage, eclectic decor. Ice cream to top of your lunch or dinner of burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, etc. Got a chocolate malt. Yummy. Not often found these days (malt). Clean bathrooms and friendly, efficient service! Definitely revisiting next time we go to the beach!

We make a point to get to Island Delights every year when we come to Topsail. This place has the best burgers on the island (and beyond), and the sandwiches and sides are excellent as well. The servers do a perfect job - right there if you need something, but never bugging you. Zero complaints, highly recommended.
