Is there a waiting period for adoption? I'm looking to adopt but would like to take home that same day.

You can adopt the same day. We adopted a cat a few days ago. They just run a background check and if you pass you're good to go.

I'm pretty sure after you fill out the application you can take home the same day. I would call and ask them to be sure.

We are looking at other places and they are saying you have a wait and see if your approved before you can take them home, but in the meantime other people can put in applications for the same animal. So I'm looking for a place that doesn't do that. I'll call tomorrow and ask them about it
