Could anyone give me any info on how to camp there? Are fires allowed? Any bathrooms or showers near? Thanks in advance.

There are public restrooms but not showers as I recall. Fires in your fire pit only as long as there are no current fire restrictions.

Last time I was there there was a $10 fee per night.

Campground is now considered dispersed camping no longer managed by the forrest service. You could call the Kennedy meadows general store as they may be managing it. The outhouses are filthy and no toilet paper. The upside is it's beautiful there the lower fork of the Kern river next to campground. The Pacific trail goes thru the campground so great hiking and trout fishing. Campfires in the fire ring. 9 mile cyn road up from Hwy 395 is a bit treacherous take it easy. After you get to the store sight You can also stay on the main road instead of taking the right fork to Kennedy meadows campground and go another 8-9 miles up to the fish creek campground which is cooler and much nicer.

Restrooms. Spickets didn't work though so bring water.
