I currently have an Massachusetts Real ID Class D Drivers License issued on 7/19/2018. It expires on 7/25/2020. If I renew on-line will my renewal be a Real ID or do I have to appear in person?

This is the notice they put up on their website. On March 23rd, the federal government announced a revised REAL ID compliance deadline of October 1, 2021. The RMV has suspended the issuance of REAL IDs unless it is part of a first time issuance, out of state conversion, or other limited circumstance.
