Hello, I will be visiting the Boston area from Ireland for a period of 3 weeks in June. A friend has offered me the use of a car while there. Is it possible for me to drive on my Irish drivers license for this short period ?

Thanks for that Rebecca. I thought that might be the case but wanted to make sure. Best regards.

An international driving permit is not necessary in Massachusetts. If you have your valid license you'll be fine. But make sure whatever car your driving registered, insured, and inspected because you don't want to give the state police a reason to pull you over.
