Currently we are at capacity at Falls Church Winter Shelter. We do have hypo at Bailey's and Kennedy you are welcome to call Bailey's or Kennedy. We do offer beds at Bailey's and Kennedy. You can call and do a over the phone assessment and your call will be returned if a bed becomes available. Thanks and hope everything turns out alright for you.
They normally run at capacity. Intake process was call each day, and intake manager checked in on with Bailey's shelter on Moncure in Fairfax County, that has overflow, also at capacity, unless someone fails to show up, on time, or finds another place (unlikely) or gets kicked out (closed ~april 1, not very funny). No current knowledge of it there, just from being there twenty plus years ago (old dental office around the corner? Vanned over from Bailey's) then working there over a decade+ ago. Female beds may be easier, there were mostly men's, and a small area/room for females. There is a directory by the interfaith in DC that lists services in the region, send a self addressed stamped envelope to get one, then have what volunteer and staff look up in. Good luck. Maybe find a worker / case manager to help, not much they can do but someone to talk to, and then they call around, etc.
i have a big bag of womens clothes and some shoes Id like to donate. Im leaving to go home to Florida tomorrow sometime. I'm in FallsChurch, so please let me know. Thanks, Anne
