It's pretty good, lots of wildlife! Summer, early morning, cooler weather, go anytime!!
It's not bad it can be quite shallow in Areas, I'd recommend early to mid morning that's when the most wildlife is out. I would also recommend the lookout tower at the beginning of the trail 👌
Personally I would say best time of day is early morning or late afternoon. Watching the sun set or rise off the water is beautiful. Also the temperature is not as hot during that time.
