I would suggest talking to your vet to see what options there are and to help figure out what works best for your pet. Fyi capstar, mentioned by another person, works very briefly to kill all the fleas currently on the pet. It's not long-term treatment or prevention.
Go in and ask?
Capstar is a good treatment to kill fleas. It is given orally and there are options for both dogs and cats. Comfortis is also a good canine option.
