I just wanna say thx to Mr. Hollaway for his leadership efforts, also taking on one of the most “pertinent” positions given. Freestate for most youth is one of the only non-profit organizations left still standing offering such an excellent experience, to be given a second chance at life isn’t always an alternative for our African American community. Society maybe appearing to have such programs but I will agree undoubtedly with all of my exhaustion of completion of 7 consecutive programs, a Stat docket, reported runaways, repeated suspensions, meaningless judicial processes, and most importantly all of the new laws that exist... it has become an extremely daunting challenge to “rear your children”!!! Although I was given alotta additional legwork three (3) days prior to the June orientation/admissions which disallowed my daughter to be selected I will continue my optimism and pray that ANY/ALL documentation will be available for “THE LAST ALTERNATIVE” for my daughter. #PlzHelpAmen
Applicants have to be between the ages of 16-18. They can turn 19 in the program.
