Correct: hearing aids do not correct dizziness or vertigo but for people who need and use hearing aids in both ears, there seems to be a slight benefit for their balance. Hearing aids do not resolve moderate or worse balance problems.

I think it depends on your condition. For me, a hearing aid would make things worse.
