Bakery has lots of varieties, however Boudin is famous with sourdough. They are open on Christmas, i think opening hours may differ. They have a website where you can order too.
boudin is well known for its sourdough bread an chowder upstairs restaurant has a fine ding menu the downstairs is a soup/sandwich cafe, coffe bar and gift shop one of my favorite spots in the city

The chowder comes in sourdough. The bakery has lots of varieties, however I only went to the upstairs bistro/restaurant and the other time to have a clam chowder.
