Not far at all. I would give yourself 1 - 2 days at the absolute max and that's for a Friday/Saturday night reservation for dinner.
I think it depends on the time you want to go. 5-7pm there is plenty of room. Later in the evening its more crowded. If you want a same day reservation go for an early dinner. We went at 5pm and were literally the only people there on a Wednesday evening
