I'm retired officer with my husband who retired over 40 yrs of service. In uniform, you are a target. If in plain clothes your still a target due to those acting out in revenge from previous charges. Not carrying a weapon anymore ( although I could ) would love to be in a place with law enforcement in plain veiw. I will ask before entering an Outback Steak House from here on end and refuse from entering and making sure those awaiting in line knows why. We're good enough to call for help, but not to feed while on duty.
