I have vegan Benevolent Bacon and the ingredients list says "natural bacon flavor" which sounds like it is derived from bacon (pork). Since it's vegan product, can you tell me what is meant by that flavor description? Thanks. t

Hi Leslie – thank you for your great question! The ingredient reads in the ingredient statement as “vegan natural bacon flavor.” It is a proprietary blend of naturally-occurring, vegan ingredients that have hit the mark in delivering a bacon-like taste. Rest assured, no animal products or by-products were used in the Benevolent Bacon recipe - this is indeed a vegan, non-gmo food! Thank you again for your question, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or thoughts you may have.
