I agree with first answer, the date and how many were produced can make all the difference. I will add one caveat, it could be plated or worse, painted gold. Which would mean it not worth anymore than face value. My suggestion is to take it in to the great guy's at Americana Collectors, and they will assess the coins value. Then you can choose what you would like to do with it.
Depends on if it's graded or not and the date because low mintage means more money but if it's a mass production coin only price of gold 😀 hope this helps out!
No there are no real gold quarters someone has plated it with gold so thin it doesn't give it any more value than 25 cents
