My brother passed away on 4/12/20 in OH & received the stim. pmnt dir. depst to his checking acct on 4/29/20. I'm his exec. & sent check to pay it back 5/6. How long does it take for the IRS to cash the check as it is now 6/18? Was it recvd?

It depends on if you sent the payment to the correct repayment address. If you did, payments are returned, generally, in about 4-6 weeks. This is provided that there are no pandemic related delays and you also included all the necessary information and mailed to the proper address. If you didn't, it could takes several months of researching, reassigning, etc.. to be properly routed and applied.
