Can you just show up at the rescue? It appears from info online that they are only open for very limited time each week. I'm in the LA area for a short time and would like to visit.

I'm a volunteer and we are volunteer run so if you make an appointment there's a better chance you will have a more positive experience because appointments are allocated. But it is true we will never turn anyone away especially if they just want information.
