I just experienced a Great Exchange as it pertains to your question. I had a few items from another state that was purchased,.however; While traveling I lost receipt. I explained my situation and the associate was very resourceful by telling me this: Due to not having the item receipt and the item was valued more than $20 she was only able to provide me with in store credit loaded on a gift card. I would have to admit this process was a great experience. Good Luck
Most Walmarts have a very good return policy I am not an employee of that store
