Arriving at FLL 12:30am. Don't want to pay for taxis & hotels for a few hours until the cruise shuttle picks us up. Can we stay in the airport without getting our luggage for a few hours? Is there a place to wait in baggage claim?

I don't recommend this if you checked your bags. When your plane lands, you should claim your bags in baggage claim or they might grow legs and walk away.
