My wife suffered a stroke on 2/16 I could hear the sirens coming while I was on with 911. Within minutes they were transporting her to Broward General. If not for Fire Rescue’s prompt response she might not be alive today. Thanks to all the firemen and paramedics you guys are great.

Hero's of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Station 47 12/25/2021 The story of Mr. Green the Macaw on Christmas eve day at 4:00 PM was heading to help his human Mom Pim close her shop for Christmas eve when his Daddy Human stopped for gas at the Race Track gas station on Broward Blvd. Unfortunately his Daddy human left the truck door open while gassing up and Mr. Green got spooked when cleaning the windshield and off he flew to the top of the Race Track station's pump roof. After seven frantic calls to tree trimmer so late in the day to no avail, 911 no avail , the Hero's of Station 47 volunteered to come to the rescue, up they went and the long of the story is Mr. Green was safely retrieved for another Happy Holiday . Thank you Hero's of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Station 47 for the best Christmas Gift of life returning Mr. Green to his flock.

I apologize, but I do not believe that we are accepting any more donations for the Bahamas, the last load was picked up last week and I was instructed to place a sign on the front door of Station 53 stating that donations are no longer being accepted.
