I have a reservation for next week. I'm arriving from Denmark and will return 12 days later? Will I be able to pay for the rental with a debit card?

I paid with my debit card but they took 200us as a back up deposit, which they returned to me after I returned the car, and I did use my debit card for gas. Credit card holder donot tequire back up deposit.

No. I think. They need a credit card to put deposit money which they don't do it on debit card. This is true for most rental companies.

Credit card is the king. My Debit never even worked on a gas station.
