The Royal Sonesta is excellent if you want to stay right in the Quarter, it is pricy. My favorite place to stay in the Quarter is the Oliver House, it was amazing and right off of Bourbon St. The Cambria and St. James Hotel are also excellent. Both of these hotels are in the warehouse district but easy walk to House of Blues. I highly recommend staying in the warehouse district! So much more to NOLA than the Quarter.
We prefer the hyatt centric right on bourbon street or jw marriot on canal
The Westin at canal place or the or the Monteleon hotel all in walking distance. Or any in the French quarter
