I sent my application through mail to my nearest SS office to get a new social security card because i lost mine , but i haven’t heard anything back , how long does it take ?

I work there and I do not recommend you mail any original documents. Thats all I will say.

2-4 weeks providing the mail system didn't misplace anything. If you sent copies of any required documents, your application won't be processed

I mean i sent them already , So what do i do now just wait or what ? I sent my Birth certificate & Passport .
