If I am currently buying a car from CarMax can I trade it in on a truck from CarMax or would I have to pay off the car 1st?

You can, but depending on how long you've had the trade in, miles, down payment, etc. You may have some negative equity, for example if you owe 10k, and it's worth 7k, you'd have 3k negative equity. Which can be overcome in numerous ways, mostly dependant upon credit history and stability.

They would probably consolidate all the Equity of both vehicles into a payment. Payment amount depends I would imagine on ur credit and payment history. I spoke with Raphael. He was fantastic. He would definitely have a concrete answer. Have a good one.

Good question. Why not give them a call. There are no stupid questions.

@Ryan Houston So basically using your example could one of the options be to just take that $3,000 difference and add it to the new car total?
