No it is not. It runs north of the New Jersey border, alongside the Hudson into Orange County. It is southeast of the Catskills. If you go to Campmor or REI there is a wonderful Trail guide for Harriman State Park. I have been hiking and canoeing there for 30 years it is an amazing place! I encourage anyone who loves the outdoors to go there all year round!

No its not part of the Catskills, its the Hudson highlands, which is part of the Appalachian mountain chain
