I need to know why my neighborhood wants to fill in a wet land preserve area to build a few homes Its not big in size but regulates are ground water and is home to scrub jays as well as eagles and owls Just to put a few more homes

On one hand I see your point and we all need to preserve nature, on the other you have to realize that before they built your house and the existing houses in your neighborhood it was home for the same if not more species of animals that had to relocate elsewhere.. with the same logic you would have to trace back to when they first discovered this country and took over the Native Americans and built on existing land that was once home of wild animals .. so where do we draw the line?

Many humans just plan suck , they could care less for nature
