It amazes me what our tax dollars get spent on and what they do NOT get spent on... Alas, our state parks seem to be just an afterthought, when they should be a priority. While our children have their noses stuck to their smartphones, they should be out exploring, enjoying what Mother Nature shares with us... But, as a parent would I want my kids to see the disrepair that some of our parks are in... NOT! Maybe the lack of care has to do with this being the off-season, though not a good excuse.... Or, if it's this trashy in the off-season, it's scary to think what it may look like during the season... Chuck Hatcher, you have your work cut out for you...

Biked by a 10 or 12 foot gator laying about 6 feet from the trail. Stopped a jogger from running past it. Jogger went back, I went full tilt past it again. It never moved. Whew!

This has to be the WORST campsite ever! Wedged between a mobile home park, busy highway and train tracks. Do not camp here!

Not sure about licensing, but it has easy access.
There is plenty of open land, but I'm almost certain that is prohibited as it is a natural preserve. This is a place to go for a hike and enjoy nature. There are plenty of outdoor shooting ranges in the area, in Brandon and in Tampa there are a few
This place is Private property
At certain times of the year in certain parts, yes.
I agree with Mike, I dont believe there are any issues with leashed dogs. You just have to be aware of hog hunting season in the fall,,, there are additional rules at that time
Yes, camping is free but you must make a reservation online.
On one hand I see your point and we all need to preserve nature, on the other you have to realize that before they built your house and the existing houses in your neighborhood it was home for the same if not more species of animals that had to relocate elsewhere.. with the same logic you would have to trace back to when they first discovered this country and took over the Native Americans and built on existing land that was once home of wild animals .. so where do we draw the line?
