Our goal is for every patient to be seen by a qualified medical professional - Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) - within ten minutes of arriving in the ER. Patients are triaged at arrival and are then seen by a qualified medical professional in priority order based on their presenting complaint and reason for visit.
That's because of their triage system of evaluating urgency
I really don't know in my situation I didn't wait too long because it was a heart problem. They have a lot of elderly in the area with heart problems could be blocking it up.
They take emergencys first, ones that come by ambulance first too, keep checking in with them.
I would check back in again let them know the length of time of your wait. Maybe there was a look over. Wait times were bad years ago but have experienced much faster the last few years visits. Hopefully you get the help you need soon. If not, leave and go elsewhere.
