As long as they are closed toe. Best if they fit snuggly.

I recommend laces. My daughters and I wore sneakers.
No open toed slip-on shoes....I would suggest tennis shoes or running shoes with socks.
Not sure about the rules but I wouldn't wear slip on shoes if I were you. Having been there twice, if you lost a shoe it would cause all sorts of delays. They might not even let you retrieve it.
