As long as it is an oil designed for use in an Air cooled engine you can use it in there. Also in the trans as long as it has a friction modifier for a wet clutch. I run Syn3 in the engine and Belray in the trans and primary of every Harley I have owned. My 16 Street Glide included. I won't use anything else. Both can be bought at Lakeland Harley-Davidson.

you definitely want to run an oil designed for air cooled motorcycles , i bought some from napa i forget what brand worked great in my street 750. the dealer isnt allowed to tell you tobrun anything but harley oil due to sales and liability issues.
