I know it's not good to feed the deer, so I don't want to give them anything they would come to depend on. I'm just looking for a little treat I could leave that they could digest. Do you have anything like that?

Deer eat most green vegetables. We put out the trimmings from our vegetables, and salad fixings which are at the end of their life. I have put out corn from my garden and they will eat the corn off the cob but not the cob itself. They slick up apples and apple peals. They love black oil sunflower seeds and regularly clean the ground under our feeders.

Thanks for reaching out to us Colleen, yes you're right, feeding deer can be harmful and many feeds are difficult for them to digest. For this reason, we don't recommend rolled corn, rolled oats or COB. Some treat/supplements designed for deer include 33# Antlermax Deer Block and 25# Antlermax Mineral Meal, both of which we carry. We recommend contacting the state wildlife dept for more information on feeding wildlife, let us know if you have any further questions.

You won't find anything at Grange. If you truly want to do this go find out what vegetables deer eat and get some at the grocery store.
