A great Museum for the price. Took a long time in there, I especially liked the pull rope bell you can ring, the piano you can ask to play, and the whole real jail cell you can go inside!

A great place to help understand local history. The Modoc history timeline includes several portraits bringing the reality of the people and their battles to life. Don't forget to visit Captain Jacks stronghold on your way to the Lava beds..

Wonderfully run very local museum showing extensive history of Klamath. Many exhibits about native peoples, explorers, local historical figures, industry, flora and fauna. I particularly liked the cougar and elk. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly :)

The Klamath county Museum has the main museum at 1451 main street and the Baldwin hotel museum at 300 main street( closed for the winter months) and the Fort Klamath museum at 51400 Highway 62(also closed for the winter months). The director is Todd Kepple and he can be reached at 541- 882- 1000 for more information and how to join the Historical Society. Please let Todd know that Kevin Fields museum Aide Fort Klamath sent you.
