Yes, it will go through a metal detector though. Some rides allow you to place them on the floor in the ride while others offer free lockers for the ride, but if you leave it in the locker to long they will charge you for it.
Yes you can. You will hve to go through metal detectors and also most rides wont allow you to keep a back pack. There are lockers by rides which you have to pay for and i believe general paid lockers around the park. I would rather recommend bringing a fanny pack or shorts or pants with a zipper on it. Jeans which will secure items would also work. If you bring a bag you can check it in nd go grab stuff if need be. But remember the park js fairly huge and so you might need to check in lockers and remove bag each time. Enjoy!
