It is louder at the front than it is at the back, so you can pick where you sit accordingly. We installed a new sound system a few months ago and the quality of the sound has improved greatly. The music tends toward upbeat and lively, with people on their feet singing and worshipping. There is also a mix of quieter more reverent music to offer people a chance to be more reflective. Most importantly, there is a powerful feeling of worship during the service and not just people "going through the motions". I hope this helps!
