I paid off my car loan at the credit union where I had it financed. There is no lien on my car now. How do I get the title in my name ?

Thank you, but my credit company tells me that they no longer handle the actual paper titles, that all titles are kept electronically by the DMV and that they will not request the title from the DMV. The DMV tells me that I need to make an appointment to come to pick it up. I tried to do that but I can't get them on the phone. I tried several different numbers I found listed for them. The only actual person I could get a call through to was in Pinellas County .Since I'm in Hillsborough County, she couldn't help me. I understand that an electronic title exists. I just want a paper title to anything I own. Right now I am frustrated about the situation but decided to just forget about it until I want to sell the car.

Call the bank that had the loan ask them how to get the title. They should be mailing it to you.
