Are the contractors that do these jobs employed by Home Depot or do they pick one from a list of outside contractors?

They have local contractors do the work. Usually do a good job. If Home Depot gets a couple of negative feedbacks on someone, they're dropped.

Out side companies that they contract they will show up with ID from home depot and the subcontractor they work for

My experience is that they have a list of outside local contractors
